May 2021Saga Cruises' long-awaited second newbuild was originally scheduled to debut in August 2020 before being pushed back to May 4, 2021 as a result of the global health pandemic. The second Quantum Ultra Class ship after Spectrum of the Seas, Odyssey of the Seas will debut from Southampton, England, in April 2021.

In between iconic isles, fill a day with thrills and chill at our private destination, Perfect Day at CocoCay. The ship will hold 2,500 passengers at double occupancy (two passengers per cabin) and up to 4,000 passengers with every berth filled. Yet another new drinks venue is Periscope Pub, inspired by Jules Verne's "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" (and Disney's 1954 movie version of the book and theme park attraction). The bar is designed to look like the Nautilus submarine from the story, complete with a giant periscope, porthole windows and a ceiling designed to look like you're underwater. In just a few years, that'll give Explora Journeys a bigger capacity than such well-known luxury cruise operators as Seabourn and the recently relaunched Crystal.
